FACELOGIC SPA OPENS FIRST LOCATION IN AUSTIN, OFFERS AFFORDABLE SPA SERVICES
BCL of Texas Lends Help to Bring Successful New Concept Chain to Austin
Austin, Texas – facelogic Spa, the first chain spa to offer high-quality, low-price skin care services, will open its doors to the Austin community this Saturday, December 9. Located at the Super Target Center at Walden Park at the intersection of Hwy 183 and Hwy 620, facelogic Spa will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, December 7 at noon with the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce and Business Community Lenders of Texas (BCL of Texas). facelogic will also host a grand opening event open to the public on Saturday, December 9 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. where they will give away 100 free services, including one year of free facials.
“We are thrilled to bring affordable spa services to Austin and its surrounding areas with the opening of the city’s first facelogic Spa,” says Jennifer Salzman, owner of the Austin franchise. “With baby boomers focused on defying the aging process, the U.S. consumer is expected to spend more than $30 billion on anti-aging products. Based on Austin’s dedication to fitness and desire to stay young and active, we see this as a viable market.”
facelogic Spa, which was designed by spa experts Sherryl Ford, Shari Nevarez and Evangelina Eastman, will provide premier and affordable spa services to the Austin community including facials, waxing and cosmetic consultations to women and men of all ages. The spa’s signature service is a 50-minute facial for $49 ($39 with membership), well below the national average of $75.
Within 11 months of opening its first location in Waco, Texas, the spa franchise has already sold 30 locations across the Unites States and Canada. Retail stores are currently open in California, Georgia, Kentucky, Texas and Canada. Other locations are slated for California, Colorado, Florida, New York, Texas and Virginia. The Austin location is now one of seven.
 In July of 2006, Salzman met with BCL of Texas, a not-for-profit business lender and chartered member of the Neighborworks® national network, to prepare the business plan. The group worked with Salzman to provide recommendations for the business plan, financial projections, collateral adequacy, credit adequacy, as well as secure capital for facelogic Spa.
